Mr. Zachariah Kwada is a seasoned Governance, Risk, and Compliance Professional with extensive experience across the Banking sector, State-Owned entities, and the Botswana Government. With over 20 years of expertise in financial, operational, and compliance risk management, he has established himself as a leader in the field. Mr. Kwada has expanded his professional scope by advocating for good governance in banking, public procurement, and public sector service delivery. His tenure at organisations such as Standard Chartered Bank, Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), and the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) has significantly contributed to enhancing wealth management for the financial well-being of Botswana's citizens and promoting the development of the private sector (SMME) as a catalyst for economic growth.

For nearly 15 years, Mr. Kwada has been a dedicated Risk Management practitioner, with a growing interest in sustainability and climate risk, including sustainable finance and impact investing. He holds the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation, the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) certification, and is a Certified Risk and Compliance Professional (CRCMP). Additionally, he is a graduate of Stellenbosch University, where he earned a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy and Applied Research, and completed a one-year program in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management at the University of South Africa.

Mr. Kwada is currently finalising his Executive MBA and Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) programs to further solidify his expertise in finance and strategy. These qualifications will enhance his capabilities in his role as the Head of Risk and Compliance at the HRDC, ensuring he continues to excel in risk oversight and strategic leadership.
