Mr Labane Mokgosi

Mr Labane Earl Mokgosi is the serving as Director in the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (November 2014 – to the present) in the Ministry of Employment, Labour Productivity and skills Development. Previously he has worked in two other departments as Director in the then Ministry of Education and Skills Development; Ghanzi Regional Office (2009 – 2011), Botswana Education Hub (2011 – 2014).

Mr Mokgosi has worked in the then Ministry of Education and Skills Development since 1991. He started as a teacher in various schools at both junior and senior secondary levels. He also served the Government as Principal Education Officer in Secondary Education and Non Formal Education Departments.

He is also an author of English Language books for secondary education level and short stories.

He has Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Botswana and post graduate diploma from University of Botswana (UB) and University of East Anglia, UK. He holds a Master in Literature from University of East Anglia and various professional certificates from other institutions.

Mr Mokgosi is a member and has served as a member of different organisational Boards such as Construction Industry Trust Fund (CITF), UB Council and Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA).
