Dr Grace G. Kgakge - Tabengwa


Dr Grace G. Kgakge – Tabengwa is the Head and Senior Research Fellow at the think–tank Botswana Institute for Development Analysis (BIDPA) where she specialises in Macroeconomics and policy analysis.

She has over 17 years’ experience in development policy analysis and has done extensive research on human capital development among developing countries including Botswana, budget analysis, national planning, investment, competiveness and diversification where she has published widely.

Dr Tabengwa is a Board Member of the Investment Advisory Board of the Botswana Public Officers Medical Aid Scheme (BPOMAS) and a Board Director of the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC) Subsidiary Company; Can Manufacturers Botswana. She serves on the Reference Group of the National Development Plan 11, is a member of the Sectoral and Development and Linkages Committee for the Economic Diversification Drive.

Dr Tabengwa brings a wealth of knowledge policy matters at the national level and human capital development which is critical for the HRDC in the development of the National Human Resource Development Plan. She is appropriately placed in the HRDC Board to provide advice, given her experience with national planning, budget and exposure to human capital development among the developing nations.

She has a BA Economics, Master of Science Economics, University of Warwick (United Kingdom) and a PhD Economics.
