Call for Submission of Work Skills Training Plans to HRDC

The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) was established through the HRDC Act No. 17 of 2013 which became effective on the 8th November, 2013. HRDC is responsible for advising, planning, funding and coordinating skills development in Botswana. Under its planning function, HRDC is responsible for work – place learning which entails; structured skills training and development strategies provided at workplaces.

HRDC invites all Work-Places and Levy Payers (organisations and companies) to submit their Work Skills Training Plans for the Financial Year 2017/18 to HRDC before the 30th May 2017.

WHY SHOULD THE WORKPLACES SUBMIT THEIR WORK SKILLS TRAINING PLANS?

•     The Work Skills Training Plans provide information on training planned by Work - places for the year 2017 -2018.

•     The Plans enable HRDC to analyse and appreciate the Work - places/Organisational training needs.

•     The Plans provide HRDC with guidance on National Priority Skills needs identified in line with the National Human Resource Development Strategy (NHRDS).

•     The plans inform the reimbursement through the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF), for training costs incurred in training of citizen employees.

•     The Plans enable HRDC to monitor skills development interventions in Botswana.

The Work Skills Plans may be submitted electronically (see email addresses below), posted or hand delivered to HRDC Offices in Block 7, Plot 60113, Ext 48, Gaborone.
